In May 2026, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) executed a search warrant on a rural Abbotsford property, discovering a large-scale clandestine drug lab under construction. Four individuals were arrested in Abbotsford, Surrey, and Enderby. The investigation, which began in February, led to the seizure of 44 firearms (including homemade ones), 11 suppressors, overcapacity magazines, 65 tubes of emulsion explosives, approximately $4,000 cash, and gold and silver bars. The lab was capable of producing fentanyl, methamphetamine, MDMA, and GHB.
