On 16.08.2026, five teenagers died in a head-on collision on the M9 motorway in Kildare, Ireland, when the car they were travelling in was driven the wrong way down the motorway. The victims were Joe Carthy, Jack Kennedy, Alex McCarthy, Jeremy O'Brien and Kamil Pustkowski. There he was charged with directing the activities of a criminal organisation between 18.10.2015 and 06.04.2017. The court hearing lasted approximately 14 minutes before Judges Fiona Lydon, Patrick McGrath and Ms Justice Sarah Berkeley. Kinahan told the court he had been isolated since Friday afternoon and that he did not expect to be granted bail. At the 14-minute hearing, attended by three judges, he had no legal representation and said he had been isolated since Friday afternoon, adding that he believed a family member would have contacted a lawyer and he was happy to proceed. Detective Sergeant Colin Davidson told the court he had arrested Kinahan at Casement Aerodrome in Baldonnel at 6.49pm that day.
