The allegation arose from questions Mr Grove emailed to Professor Jason Arday about his academic record. Prior to the complaint, Professor Arday had instructed the law firm Carter-Ruck. The case was closed in February 2026 with no further action taken. Mr Grove was not interviewed during the investigation and was informed of the outcome by telephone. He was asked not to contact Professor Arday again.
