Her mobile phone remained highly active after her death, and messages were sent from her number on 15/07 to family members, stating that she needed time alone. A further message was sent to a Greek friend after the suspected time of death, claiming she was going to a Greek island. Ross had travelled from Edinburgh to Greece on 29/06 and initially stayed with friends in Keratsini before meeting American friends in Kypseli on 15/07. Police are awaiting toxicology results to determine the cause of death and are examining airline passenger data and accommodation registries to establish whether foul play was involved.
