On July 4 at approximately 11:46 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault on a roadway near 82 Avenue and 108 Street in south Edmonton. A 36-year-old man was assaulted by a group of seven men. The victim was treated and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released. Six suspects have been arrested, but one remains unidentified. The outstanding suspect is described as a young man with a medium build, short or medium-length black hair, and a large tattoo on his left forearm and bicep. He was last seen wearing a white zipper jacket, black muscle shirt, blue jeans, and black and white shoes. Investigators believe he frequents the Whyte Avenue area and the University of Alberta. Police are asking anyone who recognizes him or has information about his identity to come forward.
