On August 29, 2026, just after midnight, an unidentified man was operating a stolen forklift along 140 Avenue and 134 Street in Edmonton, with two other men riding on it. One of the riders, a 20-year-old man, fell off and was struck by the forklift, sustaining fatal injuries. The other two men fled the scene on foot. The Edmonton Police Service's major collision investigation section is investigating the crash.
