On 08.06.2026, Dianne Simmons, 76, died in hospital after lying on the floor of a rural home for seven to ten days following a fall. Her daughter June Briggs and common-law husband Richard McElroy failed to call 911 until she became unconscious. She died of multi-organ failure due to sepsis from infected wounds.
