The victims include Andreas Notter (38, Swiss), Eugenio Vagni (62, Italian), and Mary Jean Lacaba (37, Filipina). They were traveling in a Red Cross vehicle when armed men stopped them and took them away. Three other Filipinos in the vehicle were robbed but released. The abduction occurred near a prison the team had visited for a water and sanitation project. Police suspect Albader Parad, a leader of the Abu Sayyaf group, is responsible.
