Simpson, who was convicted on October 3, 2008, for storming into a hotel room at the Palace Station hotel and casino in September 2007 with five cohorts to hold two sports merchandise dealers at gunpoint and steal thousands of dollars in collectibles, will be eligible for parole after nine years. He received an additional six years for use of a deadly weapon and 12 years for assault, totaling a maximum of 33 years.
