Two inmates charged with attempted murder of Urfan Sharif
Sharif suffered cuts to his neck and face, which were described as non-life-threatening, and received medical treatment inside the prison. Steven Sansom, 47, and Adam Watson, 39, have been charged with attempted murder in connection with the attack. Daren Streeter, deputy chief crown prosecutor at CPS London, stated that prosecutors worked with the Metropolitan Police and found sufficient evidence to bring the case to court. Sansom and Watson are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on August 26. Sharif had previously been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 40 years for the murder of his 10-year-old daughter Sara.
