Sharif Ahmadzai, a 26-year-old Afghan national and champion boxer, has been arrested by Greek police on suspicion of murdering the 38-year-old British charity volunteer from Edinburgh. He allegedly admitted to dumping her body and sending text messages from her phone to convince relatives she was still alive. Ahmadzai is also accused of using her bank card to withdraw thousands of euros and gave his wife Alaina Hall €2,550 in cash and a new Apple iPhone 17 Pro, which she handed over to police. During a raid on 01/08/2026, police found a black metal replica pistol and a black military-style knife at his home.
