The Penticton RCMP are investigating the origin of the fire and are examining reports that suspicious activity may have led to its start. Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of Princeton-Summerland Road and Bathville Road, near or in the Crump Recreation site and the Trout Creek Recreation site, to come forward. Investigators are also seeking digital footage, videos and photos that could help determine the cause. The fire has grown to over 150 square kilometres and continues to threaten the Summerland, Peachland and Snpink'tn Indian Band areas. The investigation is ongoing.
